"The best Christmas gift is to realize how much you already have."

Sent by Jeremy Zoch | December 2023

It is December 1st and the holiday season is all around us. Today is a great time to think about the coming days and weeks ahead. The holidays are exciting, but can also be a time that can feel out of balance given pressures of time, budgets, and other items you may be feeling.

About 10 years ago I put together a "Holiday Survival Guide" to try and be at my best during and after the holidays. My pattern before was to go all in and be exhausted and feeling unhealthy by the time New Year's came.

How do you want to feel after the holidays?

What is most important to you during the holidays and how can you make that a priority?

Starting with a plan for being at our best - in body, mind, and spirit - throughout the holidays can help make sure we can give the gift of being truly "present" when we are with people and enjoying the sights, sounds, and feelings of such a special time of year.

Limiting portions, limiting the number of drinks, setting aside time for meditation, journaling, reading, exercising, and prioritizing getting enough sleep can all be helpful ways to make the most of the holidays.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season.

Until next month,
